Voluntaria

The desire to help during the Corona pandemic is great throughout Switzerland. Health institutions such as university hospitals receive many requests from volunteers, so that they are stretched to their capacity limits when it comes to collecting and organizing the submitted dossiers. Smaller organizations such as nursing homes or retirement homes, on the other hand, often search in vain for volunteers.

Voluntaria connects volunteers with health institutions. The concept is simple: volunteers sign up on voluntaria.ch and register their skills and availability. Health institutions, on the other hand, register their current need for support. In real time Voluntaria compares the needs of the health institutions with the profiles of the volunteers. In case of a match, both parties receive a notification and can start working together. This way volunteers can be easily and efficiently deployed where their skills are best used.

In cooperation with Muller Healthcare Consulting, medignition developed the concept, design and technology of Voluntaria in 72 hours. We have limited ourselves to the minimum functionalities in order to provide a viable platform within 3 days. In the following days we added numerous functionalities. For example, due to various requests from French-speaking Switzerland, we offered Voluntaria in French after 7 days. medignition offers Voluntaria free of charge for both volunteers and health institutions. The platform is our contribution to help people during the coronavirus pandemic.
